The event was held within the framework of the project «creating a dialogue platform based on the Pokrovsky Rue with access for people with disabilities». The aim of the project is to improve communication and popularize innovative alternative methods of resolving group conflicts implemented by the police in partnership with the population, and improve the provision of security services to residents of the Pokrovsky district. During the event, participants learned about the concept of dialogue, its varieties, legislative background and advantages of using it in resolving conflict issues.

During the meeting, one of the coordinators of the clusters of the GISMAOVC intermediary network, Yulia Chernyak, spoke about the mechanism of operation of the GISMAOVC intermediary network and the system as a whole. They also presented the successful experience of organizing and conducting dialogue events by gismaovc mediators, including for solving social problems and people with disabilities as well. In addition, successful practices of interaction between the public and representatives of local authorities, which were formed during dialogue events to address common issues in communities, were highlighted.
