A dialogue meeting with water supply experts was organized for representatives of the Chernihiv community of Zaporizhia region

The program of the meeting was devoted to discussing a comprehensive approach to presenting the problematic situation regarding the threat of non-provision of high-quality drinking water to settlements of the Chernihiv territorial community of the Berdyansk District of the Zaporozhye region, in the program and strategic documents of the community and Zaporozhye region to attract resources from all sources of financing, including through external financial support.

During the meeting, common approaches to strategic planning and methodology for preparing sectoral strategies and programs in the field of drinking water supply and sanitation were highlighted, which can be used by representatives of United territorial communities in the preparation of projects for the development and modernization of drinking water supply and sanitation systems. Successful experience of implemented projects is presented and attention is focused on the specifics of work in this sector.

During the meeting, the participants received a detailed «roadmap» of work on the situation from the development of program documents to the problem of access to high-quality drinking water supply in the program and strategic documents of the Chernihiv community and Zaporozhye region to attract resources from all sources of financing for the project implementation.

As a result of a joint discussion, the chairman of the Chernihiv village council, Vitaly Manich, noted the relevance of the event for today, through the procedure for adjusting the Community Development Strategy until 2025 in terms of sustainable provision of high-quality drinking water to the settlements of the Chernihiv territorial community.

The expert, Olena Kozlyuk, also noted the importance of exchanging experience on effective management of water supply and water equipment issues and recommended that representatives of the community go to exchange experience in one of the communities of the Dnipro region, as it was organized, for example, earlier, for the Krasnorechinsky United territorial community of the Luhansk region, when the latter began to understand that it is necessary to start the process of reforming and searching for finances in this area (the visit was written about here).

At the end of the meeting, all participants in the dialogue noted the effectiveness of the event and expressed their readiness for further cooperation to find common solutions.
