A dialogue on the issues of a local pig farm took place in the village of Svystunivka, Svativskyi district

During the meeting, local residents noted that the pig farm is located on the territory of the village and especially in the warm season, the smell of pig waste products spreads throughout the settlement, which makes it difficult and unpleasant for residents to breathe. According to the community, the problem is that the management of the pig farm does not pay enough attention to the timely removal of pig farm waste products. In addition, such products are exported through the streets of the village and a faulty barrel partially leaves a trace of sewage that spills and emits an unpleasant smell.

At the meeting, the head of the pig farm explained that recently there was a problem with the timely removal of pig waste products, this was due to the lack of a full-time driver of special equipment and an outdated barrel, but now the management listened to the complaints of residents and changed the route of sewage removal. In addition, the company repaired the barrel and hired a full-time driver of special equipment. However, the problem with the place of sewage discharge remains acute. During the summer period, by oral agreement between some farmers and the management of the pig farm, waste products are exported to the fields, which is actually an organic fertilizer that helps to increase yields and improve chernozem soil. In winter, the problem will become relevant again, since this will not be possible. Irina Korlyakova, Deputy Mayor of Svatovo, who was present at the meeting, and the village head suggested that the pig farm management officially send a letter to the city council with a request to allocate a place for the export of pig waste products that will not cause inconvenience to residents and pollute the environment.
In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of joint efforts of the authorities, society, farmers and the management of the pig farm to purchase and plant tree seedlings around the enterprise that could naturally purify the air and green the surrounding area.
All participants of the meeting noted the positive dynamics of the dialogue and noted that the meeting was interesting and constructive.
