A dialogue meeting on water supply issues took place in the Kirilivka village council of the Zaporozhye region.

The situation is reflected on the platform here: https://dialog-ua.org/problems/287-konflikt-navkolo-rehulyarnoho-vidklyuchennya-vodopostachanya-pidchas-kurortnoho-sezonu-v-smt-kyr.html
As a result of the discussion, it was found out that the situation of temporary shutdown of water supply and water supply during these hours was relevant for the holiday season and was caused by a large number of vacationers and an additional load on water supply systems. However, residents had and still have the opportunity to receive water through water supply at the same rates as the tariffs of centralized water supply.
The head of the Municipal Guard Department and the deputy chairman of the Kirillovskaya AH noted that there are two interrelated problems: the problem associated with increasing water consumption during the holiday season, as a result of increasing the sanitary and technical level of private homes, the presence of private swimming pools and a water supply system that is unable to serve the needs of the population during the holiday season and the problem of illegal business activities and the lack of payment of tourist fees, which would allow the local budget to allocate more funds for the modernization and reconstruction of the water supply system, which has been dating for more than 40 years.
The deputy chairman of the Kirillovskaya ah and the director of KP “Vodokanal” of the Melitopol City Council noted that to date, funds have already been allocated for the development of design and estimate documentation for the development of a centralized water supply/sanitation project on the Azov spit and the modernization and reconstruction of the water supply system in the village of Kirillovka and a tender tender is planned to be announced in the near future.
Also, the director of KP “Vodokanal” of the Melitopol City Council noted that there are already planned steps to find financing and investment for the implementation of the project for the modernization/reconstruction of water supply/sanitation systems and the project for the development of centralized water supply to CBS.
The participants of the dialogue meeting expressed their readiness, if necessary, to further cooperate with GISMAOVC mediators on problematic and conflict issues in order to find mutual understanding and common ways to resolve the situation.
