5 квітня було відкрито збір підписів петиції за скасування рішення будівництва МакДональдсу. Станом на 05.05.2021 зібрано 107 підписів з потрібних 250-ти.

Нещодавно на сесії міскої ради було прийнято рішення більшою кількістью голосів депутатів про надання дозволу на розробку проекту землеустрою щодо відведення земельної ділянки у Центральному районі міста під забудовництво ресторану McDonalds.

У соцмережах знов підняли питання будівництва McDonalds на Грецькій площі поширивши голосування мешканців міста, та більшість голосів проти цієї будівлі, наголошуючи на те, що не можна порушувати архітектуру міста такими спорудами.
