Conflict in Kremennaya between the territorial election commission and the city council regarding the recognition of the first session of the city council as illegal

On 03.12.2020, the first session of the Kremen City Council was held. It was attended by 14 newly elected deputies and the secretary of the council was elected. But some deputies did not appear at the session. According to representatives of the city council, these are mostly members of the Nash Krai party. After the session, most of the members of the TEC and the chairman of the commission were changed. And a statement was made about the illegality of holding the session on December 3. The new composition of the TEC submitted a request to the city council to allocate a hall for the first session on 18.12.2020. The mayor and the secretary have a position that the first session was held legally. And the elected representatives started fruitful work. Regarding attempts to hold a second session, the elected chairman said that the decision of the TEC can only be canceled by the court, and there was no submission to the court. Therefore, it will not allow the city council to interfere with its work. Members of the TEC and the secretary of the commission who do not represent the interests of the Nash Krai party indicate that the commission is under pressure. And the events that are taking place are called "raider seizure of power". They point out to their colleagues that they are violating the law by voting. But members of the commission vote as the chairman of the TEC tells them. The CEC already knows about the situation and promises to investigate and provide recommendations. On 18.12.2020, the TEC, some deputies of the city council and the Severodonetsk District Council came to the city council with the intention of holding the first session of the Kremen City Council. But the hall was not opened to them. Representatives of the city council called the SBU to the event, and opponents – the police. The second session could not be held. It should be noted that people's Deputy S. Shakhov intervened in the conflict. He met with the current chairman of Kremennaya and ambiguously confirmed that the events are taking place with his knowledge and he will help "people who turned to him." On a television broadcast dedicated to the conflict, MP Yuriy Boyko also expressed his readiness to intervene in the conflict.
